Simon Ledger AKA The Keytar Man
Simon Ledger known as the Keytar Man is an international performer who currently resides on the Isle of Wight but travels worldwide.
Simon performed his first “gig” at a hotel when he was eleven years old playing the piano and singing. He did this regularly during all school holidays and at weekends learning his craft at pubs and clubs. Between the ages of 15 and 17, Simon was lucky enough to be spotted by some promoters and was given the chance to be the opening act for both the Mizz Mag Roadshow Tour and The Smash Hits Tour in which he supported acts such as Peter Andre, PJ and Duncan, All Saints and many many more.
At the age of 17, Simon jumped straight onto the cruise ships and ended up performing on them on and off for over 20 years!
Simon has performed in front of Royalty several times
In 2010 Simon switched from playing the piano and keyboards and purchased a Roland Ax Synth (one of which he still plays today)!
He found using this a great way to get out into the audience and an easy way to get the crowds involved!
He is now known around the world as “The Keytar Man”
Simon has made several tv appearances including for the BBC and ITV and was one of the last performers to be shown on Michael Barrymore’s “My Kind of Music” which was broadcast to over 9 million people.
In 2011 Simon was put together with Carl Douglas to re-release the hit song Kung Fu Fighting which is still available today on all platforms.
He also arranged organized and performed a remake of the worldwide hit “We are the World’ for a local charity which then proceeded to hit the charts and is still available on all platforms.
In 2017 Simon was lucky enough to land an amazing gig at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland (Bavarian Village) in London and for the last 6 years, he has played as one of only a few UK-based musicians/performers to over 1.5 million people each year and with high profile, celebrities sharing his performances all over their social media pages.
Following his performance at Winter Wonderland in 2021, Simon was approached to play at the O2 Academy at Oxford and has done several times now performing to over 2000 students each night and this has led to a high demand for Simon at student nights all over the UK.
